Looking for an entry level job or internship in international? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Want to work abroad? Many companies are based outside of or have major branches outside of the United States. These are usually large companies looking to establish a presence in that country. Often these companies provide services, but some charities have a international presence as well. Types of jobs abroad range as widely as they do stateside, but a few fields to consider are teaching, tourism, and international development and affairs.

The hard part is being able to work abroad in the first place. Requirements vary by country and how long you plan to stay in your country of choice; however, you’ll need a work visa or something similar in order to work internationally. Depending on the country you may need other documentation as well. If you already have a job offer, your employer inside that country may be able to help you with the work visa.
