Looking for an entry level job or internship in environmental? Here's an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have entry level and internship opportunities that will interest you.

If you want to study or protect the world around us, you have lots of possibilities. A few of them include:

Environmental scientist: Study the composition of our environment and advise on ways to protect or clean up a location
Environmental engineer: Design efficient environmentally friendly products and services
Trip leader: Lead group trips into nature
Educator: Teach the environment at a school or outdoor center
Lobbyist: Promote change in environmental policy
Non-profit: Work with a non-profit promoting environmental change or conservation

Because these options are so broad, it’s hard to give firm requirements for all of them. Having a bachelor’s degree and an interest in the environment will only help you. If you’re interested in researching or teaching at the university, you’ll need an advanced degree.
