Manufacturing and construction make up nearly half of China’s economy. Some items that China produces include apparel, electronics, toys, automobiles, and machinery, at times to be exported to other countries. China is also a leader in agriculture, producing more crops on less land than the United States.
Coal and other minerals are also abundant in China, which has led to to the rise of mining as a major industry. China also mines iron ore, petroleum, and natural gas.
