The supply chain is the system of people and resources used to move a product from raw materials to a finished product and into a customer’s hands. Because a supply chain includes many links in the chain, there are many places for a recent grad to step in, including:

  • Inventory management: Making sure enough resources are available to make a product
  • Purchasing: Buying the raw materials and natural resources needed to make a finished product
  • Logistics: Coordinating the steps a package travels from point A to point B
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Making sure the steps in product creation are up to par and that the product is satisfactory

While you can enter some of these positions without a bachelor’s degree, having a degree certainly won’t hurt. You should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
