Types of promotion businesses vary, ranging from online promotions that use social media to get buzz to incentive programs to selling physical products. The first step to running a good promotion business is getting people’s attention, and for this reason most promotion businesses have large marketing and communication departments. You can also work directly with the people sponsoring the prizes as an account management. Since a lot of promotion companies are online these days, web development and design jobs are also in demand, as these companies need to grab the people’s attention as well as they can.
Most of these positions require a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with coordinating a contest won’t hurt either.
