Looking for an entry level job or internship in China? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Located in east Asia, China is the world’s most populous country and has the world’s second largest economy, along with the world’s fastest growing major economy. Major cities in China include the capital Beijing and Shanghai.

Manufacturing and construction make up nearly half of China’s economy. Some items that China produces include apparel, electronics, toys, automobiles, and machinery, at times to be exported to other countries. China is also a leader in agriculture, producing more crops on less land than the United States.

Coal and other minerals are also abundant in China, which has led to to the rise of mining as a major industry. China also mines iron ore, petroleum, and natural gas.
