Looking for an entry level job or internship in local marketing? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Are you interested in marketing and local communities? If so, a career in local marketing could be for you.

There are a few big picture ways to get into local marketing. A few of them include:

Working with businesses that help local businesses market themselves
Working with a local business and marketing directly to a community
Working with a business that helps companies with lots of locations target their marketing

Each of these areas provides different positions and day-to-day challenges. A few positions for you to consider as a recent grad include Analyst, Account Coordinator, Digital Marketing Specialist, Local Marketing Associate, and Sales Consultant. You’ll need a bachelor’s degree for most of these positions, along with some related experience like internships.
