Yesterday in our post about A+E Networks I told you about all of my favorite reality tv shows. A lot of them are pretty embarrassing, but I have no qualms about telling people I watch Top Chef. It’s a great show (sidenote: I swear I saw Beverly Kim from last season at Whole Foods yesterday). This week was the start of a two episode “Restaurant Wars.” The rules change from season to season, but typically the cheftestants have to come up with a restaurant concept and build it from scratch in just a few days. Everything gets supplied by sponsors, but if that wasn’t the case they might want to check out The WEBstaurant Store. They’re a Lancaster, PA based company that offers an “innovative, easy-to-use website to meet the purchasing needs of food service professionals throughout the United States and Canada.”
The WEBstaurant Store was recommended to me by a reader who landed a job there. It may not be a brand that you’re familiar with, but that’s because most college kids don’t need restaurant equipment and supplies. If I need something for my kitchen, I buy it on Amazon (or maybe go to Williams-Sonoma). When you’re shopping online you want a merchant that has low prices, fast delivery, and a massive inventory. That’s exactly what The WEBstaurant Store offers along with product reviews, videos, photos, and stellar customer support. Whether you’re buying a convection oven or 100 pizza boxes, The WEBstaurant Store is the place to go. They have jobs too. If you look at The WEBstaurant Store’s Careers page, you’ll see some great opportunities for new and recent grads including:
There are a ton of great looking jobs, so give them a look.
