In 2007 I started One Day One Job with a simple goal: to make the job search suck less for new grads.

We’ve accomplished that, but I know that we can make it suck even less.

Last year we relaunched One Day One Job with a new design, better search, and constantly updated job listings pulled from Indeed. This year we’re about to a launch a revamped e-mail system with a recommendations engine that will introduce you to new companies based on your interests (without your having to do anything to input them).

The improvements will keep coming, but they’ll come faster (and be better) if we can reach more people with our content.

Ideally each of you will go tell 10 friends about us, get your career services office to add a link to our site, like us on Facebook, and the viral growth will take care of itself. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way; hence, I’m hiring paid Growth Interns/Apprentices/Hustlers.

The Position

I’ll likely end up hiring two people to work remotely for 20-30 hours per week (though slight preference will be given to people who are in Chicago and can meet at least once a week). With success there’s a chance that this could turn into a full-time thing, but that’s dependent on results.

As a Growth Intern/Apprentice/Hustler, you’ll be working on a variety of projects in areas including:

• Marketing
• Public Relations
• SEO
• Social Media
• Content Development
• Product Development
• Business Development
• Research

This is the stuff that I’ve been doing for nearly six years. I’m at the point where I have a lot of ideas but not enough time to execute on them. That’s why I need you. I want to teach you how to build and grow a business while at the same time giving you a chance to execute on some of your own ideas.
