Success Stories – Many Days, Many Jobs

Prelaunch ODOJ

A pre-launch screenshot of One Day, One Job

November 12, 2010 marked the three-year anniversary of One Day, One Job. This whole thing started out of desperation—I was struggling to get a job out of college, and I had been on the job market way too long. I needed to change things up, so I started a company to help people do what I couldn’t—find a job. I had no idea whether it would work, but…

Three years later, we’ve featured more than 1,000 employers, the company is profitable, our sites get more than 1 million visits a year, and, most importantly, we’ve put a lot of people in jobs (most of them during a brutal recession). We’ve also consistently heard from employers who are thrilled about being bombarded with high quality applicants.

The truth is that One Day, One Job is nothing without an awesome audience of talented college grads. That’s why we’re going to celebrate the start of our 4th year by sharing the stories of some readers who used One Day, One Job successfully.

Did you or someone you know land a job through One Day, One Job? We want to hear from you! Send an e-mail with your story to willy@onedayonejob.com.

Where Our Readers Have Landed

We don’t have the stories together quite yet, but so far we’ve confirmed that readers have landed jobs or internships with the following companies. Hopefully we can add you to the list.

I wanted to say thank you. I came across your blog about a year ago and have found it to be incredibly useful in my job search, not only in highlighting interesting companies, but in making the most out of my resources in general. I am writing to you because I got a job at one of the companies you highlighted, Underground Elephant. When I got the interview, I remembered your post and went back to see what you suggested I find out and how I best approach the company. I went to the interview incredibly prepared, got a second interview, and received a job offer within a week from first applying. It’s an entry level position, and the company and the environment are amazing. I really feel that without ODOJ I would not have been as ready. I’ll continue to read your blog because I love it, and I’m always looking for positions to share with my recent college grad friends. So again, thank you. - Stefanie S.
