Nearly every tv show that we watch is sponsored by a number of companies, yet we never would think to thank the sponsors. The same can be said for websites. It’s pretty rude of us, isn’t it? Shouldn’t we be more grateful for all of the things that we get in exchange for a little bit of attention? Maybe we should, but we’re not going to be. The one exception is events. When a corporate sponsor puts on an event, I feel that I owe them something. The tough thing about doing in-person marketing is that it’s hard to scale. You can reach millions with a tv commercial, but it’s usually hundreds or thousands when you’re doing something live. Social media has ameliorated this problem because it allows experiences to be shared with people who weren’t there, but that doesn’t make it easy. Mirrorball has expertise in creating amazing experiences, but they also “know how to leverage every nuance of the social media world to make your message connect to more people, resonate deeper and stay top of mind with your consumer.” They’re another company that has followed the one page website trend, so it’s easy to get an idea of the services that they offer, the work that they’ve done, and the people behind the ideas.
