One trend that I’ve noticed is that there are a lot of companies popping up that look like digital marketing agencies, but they don’t take on clients. Instead of building out Sales and Account Management teams, these companies focus on building income generating products for themselves. That’s exactly what Restoration Media does. They’re a Tustin, CA based company with a team of “marketers, designers, developers, and project managers” that “turn great ideas into successful brands.” The company made the Inc. 5000 this year with 63% three-year growth to $4 million in revenue. Those numbers aren’t as eye popping as some of the other companies that we featured from the list, but they’re still impressive.
Restoration Media has a really nice website, but it doesn’t say much about what they do (but it does say that they’ve been doing it since 2001). The best way to better understand Restoration Media is to look at their divisions–six separate sites/business that they operate. They include Response Knowledge, Jobungo, Wullo, Career Alerter, Brandna.me, and BeeKeepr. Jobungo, Wullo, and Career Alerter are all job search related, so you can give them a good workout. I think that Brandna.me is the most interesting, as it’s a collection of brandable domain names and logos for sale. Maybe Pixeldise is the perfect name for your next project–you can be ready to go extremely quickly by purchasing a logo and the domain name from Brandna.me. Job search is the only consistent theme that I see running through Restoration Media’s divisions, but all of their projects look interesting.
