Chocolate and Valentine’s Day are the perfect couple. Whether you’re looking for a gift for your sweetheart or a way to stop feeling lonely, chocolate is the answer. And if we’re talking about chocolate and romance, it’s hard to think of a more romantic chocolatier than Godiva–I mean their logo is a naked lady on a horse. While the company originated in Belgium nearly 90 years ago, it is now headquartered in New York, NY and does all of its U.S. production in Reading, PA. They’ve also opened close to 300 retail locations across the country.
I’ll admit that Godiva isn’t my first choice when it comes to chocolate, but if you sent me a heart-shaped box of truffles, I would probably eat them all. The latest sales number that I can find for Godiva are from late 2011 when they sold $650 million in chocolate. That’s a lot of premium chocolate. I don’t think I need to tell you much more about what Godiva does (though I’m sure doing a little tasting would make you better informed), but you should check out their Careers page. Right now they have Account Coordinator positions in Boston, MA; Los Angeles, CA; Metairie, LA; South Denver, CO; and St. Louis, MO. They’re also hiring a Travel Retail Coordinator (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and a number of Retail Managers. All of the positions at their headquarters seem to require more experience.
