Social media (don’t know what that is? see Wikipedia) is all about having a conversation. Job boards aren’t social media. They don’t want to start a conversation; they yell at you like a vendor in a crowded market. One Day, One Job is all about starting a conversation. We want to get you asking questions and digging for more information from employers about their jobs. A lot of employers (and companies in general) aren’t quite ready for this change in the way that we communicate. That’s why Converseon, a full service social media communications agency, exists. They help companies realize that they no longer own their brand – the people talking about them do. Converseon helps companies join the conversation in a positive and authentic way.
Converseon only has one job currently listed on their Jobs page, but it’s a winner – that’s why we’re talking about it. They’re looking for a Social Media Account Coordinator in their New York City office. This is a job that is entry-level in every way, as long as social media is a part of your life. If you love blogs, constantly update Facebook, and can’t live without Twitter, then this job is for you. You’ll be building online relationships and participating in “blog development, blogger outreach, social network development and outreach, podcast/video projects, digital PR and other online consumer engagement activities and analysis.”
This isn’t a job that existed even a few years ago. This is the future. If you’re not afraid of being on the cutting edge and constantly adapting to new trends and technologies, you’ll be a great fit at Converseon. If you’re already excited about this job, send an e-mail with a cover letter, resume, and salary requirements (Hey, Converseon. Asking about salary requirements isn’t a good ice breaker for college students. Why don’t you drop this?) to hr@converseon.com and start a conversation about this job. We think that you’ll like where it takes you.
