I get the dirtiest looks when I tell people that I don’t enjoy riding bikes. It’s as if I hate puppies and babies and unicorns. But if I did like biking, I’d probably enjoy mountain biking the most. They build bikes with 29-inch diameter wheels, which are bigger than the wheels on most other mountain bikes. Why? Rotational inertia. A bigger wheel is more likely to keep rolling when it hits an obstacle. Niner Bikes must give a pretty nice ride. Why else would the Torrance, CA and Fort Collins, CO based company have made the Inc. 5000 with 364% three-year growth to $5.8 million in revenue?

Since I’m clearly not a bike expert, you’re going to have to dig into Niner Bikes’ website to get a better feel for them. You’ll definitely want to browse through their bikes, their videos, and their wheel size explanation. If that’s not quite enough for you, you may want to Demo a Niner–they have dealers all across the country. Obviously Niner Bikes is a company full of bikers, so if you’re into bikes, you have to check out their Jobs page. Niner Bikes doesn’t post specific positions, but they are “always open to thoughtful letters, well-edited resumes and ideas about how you could be the next great addition to [their] team.” In other words, they want you to design your dream job.
