Search more jobs

One of the most important skills for both job searching and starting a successful career is creativity. That’s why I devoted an entire section to it in our Job Search Prep course (it’s free in case you didn’t know). The tough part is that our education system seems to beat creativity out of students with grading rubrics and multiple choice tests. That’s why we need more places like the Children’s Creativity Museum, which is a San Francisco, CA based “interactive art and technology museum for kids.” Creativity can’t be taught in a traditional way–it has to be done through experiences–and that’s exactly what Children’s Creativity Museum offers.

Create!

Children’s Creativity Museum is aiming to be a model for 21st century learning. That means promoting “collaboration over independence and engagement over isolation.” They do this through a variety of programs that are based on three core principles:

  1. Creativity does not happen in a vacuum
  2. Innovation is a process
  3. A community of diverse learners, thinkers, and doers is critical to building a creative environment.

To get a better feel for what the museum offers, you may want to check out their Explore link, which will give you closer look at some of the things that you can do if you visit the museum. If you like what you see, then you’ll want to check out The Children’s Creativity Museum’s Jobs page. Right now they’re looking for a Marketing Assistant and a Youth Program Coordinator. Both jobs look really interesting, so check them out.
