You may have noticed that sites like Google, Craigslist, WordPress.com, Wikipedia, Wired, have “gone black” today. They’re going on strike in opposition of the House’s Stop Online Piracy Act and the Senate’s PROTECT IP Act, and we’re joining them.
Why?
These bills are job killers. They are intended to stifle innovation and increase the cost of doing business online. They are bad for my business, and they are bad for the types of companies that we feature. If these bills pass, they will result in fewer entry level jobs and internships. Today I’m asking you to educate yourself on the issues and take action if you think it’s appropriate.

Google’s Take Action page is probably the simplest and most trustworthy place to tell Congress about your opposition, but there are plenty of other ways to go more in depth if you feel it’s necessary.
