Looking for an entry level job or internship in virtual? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Would you like to work from home and have a chance at setting your own hours? Companies of all sizes and many industries let some employees work from anywhere. Thanks to the connectivity of the Internet, it’s now easier than ever to work at least part of the time from home. While not every company offers telecommuting as a perk, they are becoming more common, particularly in the technology and Internet industry.

Some of the most common jobs that may offer working from home as a perk include:

Software development
Graphic design
Community management
Technical support
Social media management
Writing and blogging

Educational requirements vary depending on the type of position sought, but in addition to some type of experience you’ll need discipline and drive to work from home without being surrounded by co-workers all day.
