Looking for an entry level job or internship in restaurants? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Restaurants take a lot of people to run smoothly, so if you like food, a job in the restaurant business could be for you. A few opportunities for a recent grad to consider include:

Operations: Keep the day-to-day restaurant operations running smoothly
Chef: Prepare the food that guests eat
Catering: Coordinate large orders from organizations and make sure everything goes smoothly
Marketing: Promote the restaurant and its food to consumers

You could also work with a company that provides restaurants with services, such as reservations or additional business.

Most of these positions require a bachelor’s degree, with the exception of the chef position. You may also be able to start out as a server and work your way up.
