Looking for an entry level job or internship in interactive media? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

Interactive media presents digital content (such as text, images, and video) and responds to the user’s actions accordingly. Because interactive media is used in a lot of occupations across a wide variety of industries, you can use interactive media in many places, including:

Web development
Design, including graphic design and UX/UI design
Content creation
Community management
Advertising and marketing

Because interactive media is a relatively new field, more and more opportunities are popping up. You may get a job that doesn’t exist right now, or that few people are working in.

You need a bachelor’s degree for most jobs in interactive media. Depending on which aspect of interactive media you’re interested in, you may also need a portfolio.
