Georgia’s largest city is Atlanta, which has a great effect on the state and the greater Southeast. Many major companies call Atlanta home, including Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, UPS, Delta Air Lines, and AT&T.
Media lovers can also find something to love about Georgia: CNN, Turner Broadcasting System, Cox Enterprises, and The Weather Channel are all based in Georgia, along with other local stations.
Georgia’s pleasant weather lends itself to a strong farming and agriculture industry. Pecans, peaches, and peanuts are popular, but cotton, eggs, and chickens are a few other popular products. In the manufacturing department, textiles are very popular, especially along the I-75 stretch between Atlanta and Chattanooga, TN. Georgia also has a strong military presence, with over a dozen military bases around the state.
