Looking for an entry level job or internship in e-mail? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.

E-mail is still a great way to communicate with people, and because of this an entire business has built up around it. If you’re interested in e-mail and making it better for people, you should consider jobs in the e-mail business.

The e-mail business consists of many areas, and entrepreneurs are carving out more niches every day. A few areas to look into include:

E-mail marketing: Marketing a product or service through e-mail
E-mail service and delivery: Provide e-mail delivery service–think welcome e-mails, confirmation e-mails, daily job emails,…
E-mail newsletters: Work with businesses that are centered around daily e-mails
E-mail tools: Work on tools that make e-mail more efficient

There’s room in the e-mail business for technical and non-technical folks. Most positions in the e-mail business require a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and since a lot of positions are in smaller companies, you’ll need to be adaptable and able to work independently.
