Because of the variety in what living history entails, the jobs in living history also vary. Most of these positions are in museums and history-focused nonprofits, as well as in parks and historic houses. A bachelor’s degree is usually required for the traditional administrative roles, such as communications, fundraising, and finance. But if your heart is set on re-enacting or giving tours, your acting and people skills are just as useful, if not more so. A love of history is required for all these positions, along with ability to absorb information quickly and interact with the public.
