Looking for an entry level job or internship in jewelry? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.
If you plan on the former, your experience and product trump any formal education you have. The easiest way to get started is to set up an online shop on a site like Etsy and start selling. This will probably be a side job until you make enough to start making jewelry full-time.
If you’d rather work with a company, you have a couple of options. You can work with a company and make the jewelry in-house or as a contractor. Or you can work in merchandising, product, finance, marketing, or just about any department that lots of other companies have, except with jewelry. A bachelor’s degree is required for most of these positions.
