Looking for an entry level job or internship in construction? This is an overview of how to approach the search and a list of companies that might have relevant entry level and internship opportunities.
Construction management is another part of the industry to get into. This involves planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising a construction project while working with people involved in every stage of the project. You could work from a main office or on the ground where a project is happening.
To become a construction manager, you’ll need a bachelor’s degree, preferably in construction management or a related field, such as architecture or engineering. An associate’s degree with some experience can suffice for some positions. You’ll also need some experience in construction, which you can gain through part-time jobs and internships. Even though it’s not required may also want to consider certification to show your expertise.
